Two 5kW x 4hour VRB-ESS; solar application
In July 2007, VRB Power Systems Inc. announced the sale of two 5kW x 4hr VRB Energy Storage Systems™ to Progress Energy Florida for a solar project on the St. Petersburg campus of the University of South Florida. The project is aimed at evaluating the storage of intermittent solar photovoltaic energy and utilizing that energy at a time of maximum benefit to the customer and utility power systems.
